Our first branch meeting of the AAUW year is scheduled for Sunday, November 17th at 4:00 PM via zoom. We will have a program followed by a business meeting. Our presenters will be Meredith Machen, AAUW-NM Public Policy Chair, and NM Representative Christine Chandler. The title of their program will be “Election 2024 in NM: Path Forward for the 2025 NM Legislature.” Meredith will update us on NM election results, including constitutional amendments, and Rep. Chandler will discuss the effects of the NM election on upcoming legislative priorities for the state (which may affect AAUW-NM’s legislative priorities).

Meeting with Jenifer Getz February 25, 2024 at 3 pm over Zoom
This is a reminder that our next branch zoom meeting will be on Sunday, February 25th at 3:00 PM. Jenifer Getz, Executive Director of The New Mexico Commission on the Status of Women, will provide our program. Jenifer will give us an overview of the Commission and answer questions. She also wants to hear from us – some of our AAUW projects, as well as our concerns and priorities – so that she can communicate our information to those with whom she networks. This should be an excellent program.
