100th Anniversary of the Nineteenth Amendment at the Roundhouse Feb. 6

Thursday, February 6, 2020 – 100th Anniversary at the State Capitol
The public is invited to celebrate the 100th anniversary of New Mexico’s ratification of the 19th Amendment.
Enjoy costumes, festivities and refreshments. AAUW members are encouraged to wear white
8:00 am – 2:00 pm: Displays in the West Hall [Visit the AAUW table!]
8:00 – 10:30 am: Legislative Committee Hearings;
10:30 and 11:00 a.m. the House and Senate respectively will pass special legislative memorials celebrating the Suffrage Centennial.
12:30 – 2 pm: Program in the Rotunda: Hear from women leaders including Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham, Secretary of State Maggie Toulouse Oliver, Senator Nancy Rodriguez, Senator Liz Stefanics, Representative Gail Chasey and Representative Joanne Ferrary, LWVUS Director Virginia Kase and LWVNM President Hannah Burling. Cake and lemonade, too!
